The secret is in the spice balance — just enough cinnamon and clove to make your kitchen smell like a bakery, with a touch of star anise and orange for brightness.

Single-Use Simmer Sachet Recipe

Ingredients

  • 1 dried orange slice

  • 1 small cinnamon stick

  • 1 star anise pod

  • 4–5 whole cloves

  • 3–4 allspice berries

  • 1 bay leaf (optional for depth)

🔥 For a Simmer Pot (Home Fragrance)

  1. Add the spice to the sachet to a small pot or simmer dish. (Or simmer without the sachet.)

  2. Pour in 3–4 cups of water.

  3. Keep on low heat — never boil.

  4. Top off with water as needed.
